Downtown Queens… this tiny, 1-year old Burmese eatery shines !! I was raised in Burma (now Myanmar) ~ and granted, that was a looooooong time ago, but our family still cooks Burmese for many special occasions, as my wife loves it too. Of course, our favorite dishes are dredged up from the depths of years of old memories and associations, and different family members have subtly altered these memories to where the resultant dish is not always something that I like. Eaterniti is located off Queens Boulevard, in a small parking strip and adjacent to Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen (yuck !) so access is usually easy. They opened just over a year ago, and provide a small selection of generally authentic-tasting Burmese street food, snacks, salads, sweet tea, sugary and icy treats and a few actu
This was my first time trying Burmese food and it was amazing!! The tea leaf salad was so flavorful and I enjoyed the fried crunchy peanuts and pieces in it. The potato pancake was fried perfectly and the sauce was tasty - very unique flavor, I can’t quite describe it but it paired well. We ordered the chicken rice noodle dish and I have never had this type of noodle before; again super flavorful. The chicken biryani was also good. I will definitely come back again!
I am trying this hidden gem on Facebook reels and stopped by for a noodle dish before heading to the airport. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the free parking was a huge plus. I couldn’t ask for more. I really wish we had more restaurants offering authentic Burmese flavors at such reasonable prices. Keep up the great work!
Very good food and friendly people! Would recommend the Burmese pancake, which was even better than it looked. Also the ginger salad. Very refreshing! The seating is fairly limited but people are in and out fast so we were able to sit and eat.
I’m officially a fan of Myanmar food…the tea leaf salad was so good!! Never knew it could be that crunchy. The vermicili noodle also tastes good. Burmese food feels like a mix of Thai and Indonesian cuisine
