Edison | Detroit Public Library

Great Staff ! Always helpful. I like to go and sit with my grand kids and relax with a good book. The computer lab and copying paperwork service is always fast and easy! Take a day and stop into our neighborhood library. 🎵 Take a look, 💃🏽🕺🏽 it's in a book 📚😁🫴🏽💐❣️

Absolutely one of the worst library experiences I’ve ever had, due to an unpleasant staff member. It felt as though their attitude toward me depended entirely on their mood—almost as if they were having a bad day and decided to take it out on patrons. As a young African American male who is ambitious, often quiet and reserved, and carries himself respectfully, I couldn’t help but feel there was an undertone of envy and hostility. It was as if my presence alone made them assume I had some hidden malicious intent, simply because of how I look. Overall, the interaction was unwelcoming, condescending, and discouraging. I would not recommend this library for anyone looking for a positive or supportive environment for long-term study.

I love the Edison library, it’s local and they have very nice staff team as well. So come on down to the Edison library located on Joy Rd, and bring the kids as well to have a great time!

I am absolutely so proud of the Detroit Public Library for its renovations to the Edison branch it is so much more brighter spacious and updated more lighting and again spacing for the children. There’s a story time section for the children at play area for the children the adult section has been moved which is still more spacious upgrade it, I am very proud and glad that this branch got the opportunity to grow. The hours are accommodating and the staff is absolutely wonderful thank you so much City Of Detroit
