El Ciruelo

First time in my life that I didn’t finish or save my restaurant food for later. Ordered pickup, was told it would be 20 minutes. After waiting an hour, got my food. Ordered the special. The “sausage” was a hot dog. The chicken was dry and thin. The “steak” was some thin burnt beef. The rice tasted like microwave rice. This is clearly a hang out spot for their community, and if you’re not one of them, expect to be treated poorly.

Great food and fair pricing. I always order to go. Wait is usually 20-30 mins. The tamales and choripollo are fantastic.

Overall, this place was a good intro to Honduran cuisine. Great customer service, clean dining area, and good food. Our chicken was a bit dry and the rolled tacos were slightly overcooked but other than that, the food was tasty!

Will not go back. Maybe other dishes are fine but the Ciruelo special was recommended by the server, the most expensive dish on the menu but was pretty bad...

Great food and friendly staff! Portions were enough to have a second meal of the leftovers.
