El Comal

We had driven through Nuevo a few times and seen this restaurant as we passed by… but today we decided to eat there after we attended church. Since we are not from the area, we do enjoy the drive and scenery there. The building you can tell it’s been there for a while, but yet very clean. We were greeted by the owner behind the counter and she was very nice and friendly. Since we had never been here we didn’t know what to order. We ended up ordering a carne asada wet burrito, and a combination plate with a cheese enchilada and a shredded beef taco, and it comes with beans and rice. The chips and salsa were Delicious and our entrees were definitely very authentic! It was mouth watering delicious🤤 I cannot wait to visit again and maybe next time go early enough to try their menudo and

Excellent place! The service, the atmosphere, the food quality is all top tier. Super authentic experience. My first time having genuine biria and it did not disappoint. Hand made tortillas fresh served to order. Recommend for anyone!!

If you don't visit El Comal, you're missing out!! Best beef tacos we've ever had! I'm so glad I visited El Comal! We were so sad when the Menifee location was permanently closed. We found out today their OG location is still open only 15 min away! Best tacos we've ever had! We will be back often. It's family owned and they are the sweetest people.

Every day I pass by this little hole in the wall while taking my child to and from school on my way to work. I finally had the opportunity to stop. Immediately the yummy smells reminded me of my childhood of my grandma's home-cooked meals which brought me to tears. Homemade tortillas, fresh hot coffee and multiple other dishes from the kitchen. I ordered the menudo and coffee and decided to sit and eat instead of placing a to-go order. To my surprise my meal also included chips, salsa and homemade tortillas. So delicious! The service was friendly, swift and courteous and I felt welcome. Even the local customers greeted each other as they sat to eat. I highly recommend this cute little place.

I have been meaning to visit this play some 10 years ago... Maybe back then, it would been a great experience, however, the place looks a bit run down and needs a major renovation. However, the food was good and beer was cold... A really nice and relaxing atmosphere nonetheless.
