El Conejito Mexican Food

Sad to write this review but it's time. Have been coming here for 20 years and I get the same bean and cheese burrito. Over the last few years the prices have gone up but that's understood as ingredient prices have gone up. Unfortunately, the quality of food has gone down. Today I ordered a bean and cheese burrito per usual. There was probably a tablespoon worth of cheese at the bottom of my burrito. On top of that the lady who made my food did not wash her hands. I should have just walked out when I noticed that but of course I paid for my food and I was starving. I pray I don't get sick. This will probably be my last visit. For $1 more I can get a much better quality bean and cheese burrito at Lupe's. Also service has never been great, the owner and cooks act like you are a burden. Not i

OMG! Thank you God for this place. Everything is fresh taste amazing get a large side of guac. It will change your life. Great Customer Service looks like a family business. Definitely coming here for life.

Brings me back to the old El conejo restaurants that used to be around the neighborhood (Irvine & Laguna Hills). The food tastes exactly the way I remember. The staff was very friendly. All of the food was made to order. I'm looking forward to coming back here. Update: We've since been back, and are still just as satisfied as we were the first time. Fantastic fast Mexican food.

3/7/2023 What a great little place. I stopped in for lunch today and ordered the chicken enchilada plate with chips, salsa, and a drink. The couple that operate this eatery are very kind and work to please their customers with authentic Mexican food and fair prices. My meal was enjoyable, and I appreciate the heart and soul this couple put into their food and customers. Highly recommended Prior visit A great place for authentic Mexican food. Stopped in today for a chicken, rice and bean burrito and it was very good. I stop by from time to time and their breakfast burritos and other meals are all good. They also have daily specials.
