Our dinner at Taqueria El Gallo Loco West Valley was nothing short of amazing. From the food to the service, this place exceeded our expectations—and we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Utah! We’re from Texas, so being far from home, we were looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant—not Tex-Mex—and this place delivered. From the atmosphere to the food and drinks, it reminded us of dining in Mexico. We all ordered agua fresca de horchata, our favorite, and it was incredible. This wasn’t a powdered mix—it was clearly homemade, rich, and creamy, just like what you’d find in Mexico. They also offered Mexican sodas in glass bottles, like Jarritos and non-alcoholic sangria. Super nice waiter. Food was good. We got shrimp coctail, birria, carnitas and chicken. One of the best parts was how much avocado they gave us in each plate. Very generous. The carnitas were a little fatty but they were happy to make a replacement. Fair portions and prices.

WAY to expensive. Went in for a quick lunch that cost $95 for 3 people. Service was good, but they automatically add the tip. Ordered the 5 tacos and it was $25!

My favorite taco place- a little pricey but definitely worth it in my opinion. 🥰 the pastor tacos are my favorite- they’re served with pineapple & pickled onion absolutely heavenly. My husband rates the chilaquiles burrito a 5/10
