El Gallo Pinto

Authentic Nicaraguan flavors, big hearty plates, and the kind of gallo pinto and plantains that make you want to come back the next day. They gave us free pork to try, it was delicious. And also gave us different types of juices for free to try. They were all excellent, we couldn’t decide which one is better. The fritanga platter is a feast, and the staff treats you like family. The utensils also come in a paper bag so they wouldn’t touch the table. Check out my pictures.

I wasn't impressed drove almost 1 hour to taste the famous Naca Tamales the little meat was very dry almost all masa, I may say the service was great place.

Rustic in a good way. Simple but delicious. Big portion.

The food was authentic Nicaraguan. The flavor was spot on. I would recommend the food but the service was lacking. I believe this is because they do not have enough personnel for the amount of clients. We dined on a Sunday and it took about 20 mins for our order to be taken add about another 25 minutes for the food to arrive. Hopefully, this was an anomaly because the food tasted really good. We had two Fritanga plates, one with carne asada (a little tough) and the other with pork. For dessert we had buñuelos (we did not care for them, hard and did not taste like the ones I had in Nicaragua)

I came back to this place for the second time because it brought me so many memories from Nicaragua. I ordered the fritanga plate and let me tell you, it was delicious!! The cacao and melon drink were on point, not too sweet at all. The taste reminded me of my grandma ❤️
