El Gran Amigo 2

Ordered the three enchilada plate with rice and beans . The food here was very tasty. Tasted fresh even the rice tasted like it was made today. I was a little shocked to see that the enchiladas were only about 3 in Long . The guacamole is not a chunky restaurant style in my opinion guacamole it's runny and thin with no taste. But the rest of it was pretty good. I am happy to report that they don't douse everything in salt. I wouldn't hesitate to order from here again!!! I wish the chicken was in Long strips instead a little tiny cubes in the three plate enchilada. I used to do my laundry next to this place and I'm not sure it's someplace that I would like to eat in. I could use a little updating especially in the bathroom.

Authentic Mexican food with perfectly balanced flavors. The ceviche was fresh and served on a crispy tortilla. Perfectly made chips and salsa with perfectly chilled beer. Last but not least, the steak tacos arrived accompanied with rice and beans. Everything was delicious and very affordable!!

We went there on Oct. 15, 2023 (our first time). It's funny . . . our initial plan was to get lunch at Taco Bell which is only a 5-minute walk from El Gran Amigo. The only reason we skipped Taco Bell was because it was too crowded. We found El Gran Amigo purely by accident. We ordered a "chile relleno plate" and a "chile verde super quesadilla." Both items were decent. I was sort of expecting larger portion sizes, but, oh well. I thought the pork for my "chile verde" could have been more tender; the flavor was decent (not great). I DID appreciate the "cheesiness" of my quesadilla. The service was "nothing to write home about." It was "acceptable," at best.

We got the molcajete and huarache the molcajete was not set up presentable and the piece of steak was very dry in one side and to moist on the other. We asked for salsas and the server said that they already put it on and didn’t not give us any salsas

i LOVE their nachos they load it up SO good and full everything tastes amazing its just a lil pricey. although! my dad did get sick a at their sister location so im always a lil nervous
