El Habanero Taqueria Bar & Grill

This is my third time going to this place. I love the food atmosphere and all the servers are so friendly. Today our server Karina was so friendly and she was quick bringing the food and keep checking on us.one of my favorite places in Annandale, VA.

This place was awesome!!! Walked in on a Sunday night for dinner, started off with some of the best Guacamole I’ve had in the eastern region of this country. Secondly I demolished some Birria Tacos that were plated very beautifully with a taste to match. Lastly I ordered a steak quesadilla just because and certainly did not disappoint. Even came with the little guacamole salad on the side. The staff was attentive, and made sure I always had something to wash it all down with as well. Excellent restaurant!

Upon entering I was immediately greeted by Linda who was very nice and accommodating. I said I wished to order for takeout and she promptly guided me to their to go station in the back and explained what their menu had to offer. I settled upon the birria tacos and guacamole with chips. The birria tacos were $17 while the guacamole was $11, kinda pricey but then again what isn’t these days. The tacos were alright while the birria consome was exceptional. I honestly wish I could have ordered a big bowl of just that. The guacamole was fresh and flavorful, the tortilla chips on the other hand were basic.

I came in while my sister was in town. Before I ordered the shrimp soup, I asked the server if the shrimp came with shells still on it, she said no. When she brought the soup out, she said “sorry the kitchen just told me that it comes with shells”. I didn’t even let her put the bowl down in front of me I just asked she take it back because I would have ordered something else if I knew that they were in shells still. The manager came over and asked if I wanted them to remake it, I said no because it was late and I didn’t want to wait. Then the server brought the check and said that they discounted the soup but the manager would not take it off. The manager then came over and said that because they made the soup and because nothing was wrong with the soup I still had to pay for it despite no

I forgot to take pictures the food was so good. You get the traditional chips and salsa when greeted. We ordered an appetizer of white queso with chorizo (mexican sausage) and it was delicious. I have a picky eater and she ordered a kids meal of mozzarella sticks and fries. She ate until she couldn't and we had some fries and one cheese stick leftover to take home. I ordered the chicken quesadilla which came with a nice size portion of guacamole, sour cream, and pico. My child's gma ordered steak nachos which came covered in toppings and she said was amazing. We were full and still had half the food left to take home. Would def recommend.
