El Lagunero Restaurant & Bar

My husband and I eat here at least once a month they have the best shrimp tacos. I have tried every restaurant in El Centro looking for shrimp tacos after our favorite restaurant went out of business during the pandemic and none even come close to this little gem I discovered after reading about it in the newspaper. The service is excellent the food is excellent and it's clean all that at an affordable price. I tell everyone about it.

Came here with my family with no expectations, left wonderfully surprised. The food is delicious and authentic, it’s as good as mariscos in Mexicali and I don’t say that lightly, this is a wonderful gem in little old Holtville, please treasure it. I got the shrimp cocktail and the fish taco and shrimp taco which were Ensenada style tacos and they were mouth watering. They also have really good Mexican dishes like carne asada for those who don’t eat seafood. And my sister who was vegetarian loved the special quesadilla. I wish I would’ve taken photos of the food, it was very well presented and delicious. My wife has been raving about this new restaurant in Holtville, so today I went for my first time. The place is fresh & new and very clean. It wasn’t too busy being New Year’s Eve afternoon, so we were greeted immediately and did not take long to receive our food. I had fish tacos and a shrimp taco. My wife had a shrimp cocktail and special quesadilla. They were presented very nicely and tasted delicious. Iced tea was also very good. I highly recommend this place and have already told a couple of friends about it.
