Loved going there! Unfortunately, I have to give 2 stars due to my experience today, The cake I got today didn’t taste fresh — it seemed a bit old/ stale favor. Please be cautious.
The bread here is delicious, fresh and there's a wide variety of sweet treats. This bakery is very clean and customer service is great! It’s conveniently located in Bloomington, border with Richfield. I decided to pay a visit on a cold rainy day, it was the perfect day to do so. I had major sweet bread cravings and they were fulfilled. I grabbed a tray, selected conchas and salty bread. When I went to pay I noticed they also had Atole (a Mexican hot drink). I asked for a strawberry flavored Atole and OMG! It was perfect and hot. They sell a small selection of grocery products for your convenience and Mexican food as well, deli style. The tamales looked good, they were selling fast when I was there. The conchas are REALLY good here. I also purchased a bread that inside had cheese and jal
Had the cheese jalapeno and the pork tamalas. Good flavors and sized well for $3.25. Tried chocolate donut, oreja (palmier), empanadas de piña (pinnapple turnover) and a concha (sweet bread). All pretty good, donuts are huge, could only eat half. Shared the turnover and oreja, was nice and flakey, next time will not share. Picked up some cumin, dried whole cinnamon, and dried chile. Prices are really good and people running store are friendly and helpful.
Please inspect the food carefully before eating. Bought a cake here today which turned out to be full of MOLD. Bought several times from here, sometimes it's fresh and sometimes it's dry and old stock, but this time it was full of mold🤮
I was hoping this recent spot will hit and stand out as a small business, but unfortunately, where they keep the pan, it had a foul smell and little flies on top of the bread. I haven’t seen this before at a bakery. I got four different kinds of pan, but two of them were hard, and the champurrado was so sweet I couldn’t drink it. I won’t be coming back.
