El Nopal Mexican Restaurant, Crittenden Dr

I am usually great a picking restaurants but this was a huge miss. Honestly we chose it because it was in the same parking lot as our hotel. Coming from Oregon we eat at our share of Mexican restaurants, some amazing and most very good. El Nopal may have been the worst restaurant I have eaten at. Certainly the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten at. The food was aweful. Nothing tasted home made...everything was can food. Most was bland or off tasting. First time in my life I paid for a dinner and only ate a bite or two. Respectfully, you have been warned.

Chicken taco fajita are delicious. They are well prepared and presented. Yes, the food shines like it does in the menu pictures. I forgot to take a picture of the fajitas but they came out prepared with fajita meat and veggies. I liked that it was already prepared . All I had to do was throw on beans, rice, etc if I wanted. Food came out really quickly, within 5-10 minutes. Lots of good service going on here but I think they forgot about me after I got my food. Well worth coming here to eat good food. Semi loud in here but that may be due to the exhaust fan in the back.

It's just okay. Not much flavor in the quesabirria tacos. Nice staff huge micheladas.

Stopped for lunch after a big morning and really enjoyed this place! I got the chicken chimichanga and it was great. Our waiter was very kind and the food didn't take but 5 minutes to get to our table. A great restaurant, perfect to fulfill that Mexican food craving.

For the amount of food I received the price was good, but the flavor just was not there. It was rather bland and disappointing to be honest. It was also hard to hear the waitress and my coworker as the volume was loud on the TVs in the room. Id say I'd try it again, but there are many more Hispanic cuisine options out there instead.
