Super comfy seating and food was great. They have been here for so long and I totally see why. Love having dinner with friends here.

I came to eat here with a group of people and the food was absolutely horrible no taste and the meat for my sandwich was so hard I definitely don’t recommend coming here .

I'm one of these people who loves going to classic New York restaurants more than whatever the hot foodie place of the moment is. (I also avoid "Restaurant Week".) If that makes me a stuffy old codger, so be it. Anyway, I love the location of this place (very close to where I usually stay), the uniformed doormen, and the very wonderful staff. The restaurant is elegantly decorated - you feel like you've entered a vintage era. We went on a weeknight for a couples dinner. It wasn't very crowded at all. Not sure which dishes have the small portions, as I had the beef stroganoff and it was large. I was barely able to finish, in fact I think I had to leave some.
