El Pollo Loco

El Pollo Loco is one of those restaurants that once you try it you will often crave to eat it if you haven't been there for a while. This is a location close to the Costco in Santa Rosa if you happen to pass through the area back to the Bay Area. The place is right next to a miniature golf place so you may turn in too soon to the wrong parking lot if you are not careful. I love the Roja (fiery) sauce for the chicken and it definitely has a delayed kck to it which I enjoy. Even if you don't use any sauce the chicken is juicy and tender. I wish you can order the chicken without the sides because I don't like the sides and feel like I almost always waste most of the sides.

This place is amazing! I usually don't like chicken, but here... IT'S JUST SO GOOD! It's slightly crispy on the outside, has a nice level of juicyness on the inside, and is bursting with wonderful flavor! Mmmm... chicken perfection. But believe it or not, that awesome chicken isn't even my favorite thing here, It's that Creamy Cilantro salad. Every bite is a mouthful of crunchy goodness, the flavor of the cilantro dressing is HEAVENLY! And I love the tortilla strips mixed throughout the crunchy, creamy, healthy salad. Oh! And don't leave here without trying one of their yummy sides! Corn, rice, and coleslaw are my favorite, (the rice id flavored with tomatoes - which are definetly NOT my favorite food - but it tastes so good, the coleslaw is better than most, and I just love corn. Anyways,

This place usually has fresh food, but I wouldn’t say always. The staff is ok. The tea runs out often and it doesn’t get filled after you ask. The food used to be super hot here when you were served, now just warm. Ok place to eat, but not a favorite due to the few things I mentioned.

Good service. Greeted as soon as I entered. The chicken pieces seemed smaller than usual and was a tad dry. Still tasty, though. Bathrooms were clean and fully stocked.

My fist impressions were the cleanliness and the great customer service. The chicken meals are great, and I love the corn chicken salad.
