El Pollo Rey

I ORDERED A CARNE ASADA BURRITO AND ASKED TO HAVE THE RICE AND BEANS ON THE SIDE, INSTEAD OF INSIDE THE BURRITO. THE WOMAN AT THE WINDOW FLAT OUT REFUSED AND TOLD ME IF I WANTED THE RICE AND BEANS ON THE SIDE I WOULD HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR A SIDE OF BEANS AND RICE ! I THINK THEY CHARGE $4 FOR A SIDE OF RICE. I HAVE ALWAYS ORDERED BURRITOS THIS WAY SINCE MY HUSBAND HATES RICE AND BEANS AND LOVES THE BURRITO PLAIN. I HAVE GOTTEN A BURRITO THIS WAY AT EVERY MEXICAN SIT-DOWN RESTAURANT WE'VE BEEN TO AND INCLUDING CHIPOTLE LOCATIONS IN 3 DIFFERENT STATES. I LEFT WITHOUT ORDERING.

The tacos we ordered were asada, lengua and pollo. The flavor was really good. The food was warm and the green salsa had a good flavor too. I will definitely stop here again when driving through the area. I wanted to add that something I thought was really convenient was that they give you a pager (buzzer) that goes off when your food is ready. This allowed us to sit in our truck in the air conditioning versus out in the heat or wondering if they had called our order.

Small food truck, but the food is very good. The horchata drink is one of the best I have had before. The grill chicken has great flavor and tender.

This place is horrible. They put up their prices every time you order. The lady in the front is always saying they have no fries when they do and always overcharges. They are lazy and very unprofessional. This place is the worse ever. Go to Las Comadres if you want authentic Mexican food!

The pollo al carbon took me back to my childhood in Mexico. It was spot on and full of flavor! You can't help but stop when driving by because the smell will make you pull over for this!!
