El Pueblo Querido Mexican Restaurant

Partner and I had the chorizo torta and pollo torta, both with fries, respectively. We both enjoyed our meals, food was seasoned well and the tortas were well portioned for a good price. Spanish-speaking as a customer is beneficial. No menus to-go, so we had to take a picture of the in-house menus. Genuine little place we would like to return to when we're in the area again. I ordered the spicy pork sopes and they were great! 4/5 for me, i had a very big piece of unedible pork fat in one of them. My bf ordered the mole enchiladas and while he was eating he found this long piece of hair on the avocodo. he told me his chicken tasted weird and “hard” so i tasted it and it was very very tough. he couldn’t finish his food. $13 for a meal with overcooked shredded chicken and hair in his food. My sopes were good that’s the only reason i’m giving 3/5 stars.

Yummy love the portions here. Super friendly staff as well and it smells so good in there. Chicken was juicy, tacos were huge, and bathroom was colddd. Love oaxaca cheese I’ll order that in my tacos

Lovely authentic mexican restaurant in south river. Very cute inside and friendly staff. I got the mixed fajitas and they were delicious. Will definitely be coming back!
