El Rancho Grande Mexican Restaurant and Cantina

I had a very frustrating experience here. At 6:40 PM I called and ordered one plate of Fajita al Chipotle. I arrived almost an hour later at 7:30 PM thinking my order would be ready. When I got there, the lady at the counter told me they don’t accept Apple Pay. That was fine, so I called my partner who was already driving out of town to come back and hand me his card. She mentioned she could manually enter the card, so I assumed my order was already ready since it had been almost an hour. I waited at the counter about 10 minutes because I was in a hurry. I needed to go to the hospital ASAP, which is exactly why I ordered by phone to avoid delays. After I paid, she said “Déjeme voy y checo su orden.” That’s when I realized the food wasn’t even ready yet. I asked if it would take long and

I visited this restaurant for the first time, and although the wait was a bit long, it moved quickly. The hostess at the door was incredibly attentive, polite, and respectful when answering my questions. Her kindness made the experience even better. I would 100% return to this amazing restaurant.

If you want “food” full of oil then this is the place for you. I order enchiladas to go and I got drowning in oil enchiladas. I didn’t feel like having my arteries clogged so i threw them away, what a waist.

Three friends and I ordered the parrillada for four and, needless to say, we couldn’t finish it. However, it was very good.

Service & food never disappoints. Also this restaurant is very inexpensive and the quality of the food is excellent. Pictured is the caldo de res, carne guisada, fajita tacos, and caldo tlalpeño (I get mine w/o cheese.
