El Recreo Snacks

First time here and will be my go to place before going to peter piper pizza. Service was quick and I don’t have to get off my car 😀I love that they were generous with the cheese as other places I always have to ask for more. I didn’t get hot Cheetos dust so do ask for Chile if you skipped the Cheeto dust.

After an afternoon of yard work, we decided to hunt down something to snack on. We planned on stopping at the local raspa (snow cone) stand but decided to change it up to something we hadn't tried before. Found this little gem on the east side of town off 77, close to home. Wife was craving a mangonada and some hot Cheetos w/cheese. I kept it simple and ordered a small elote en vaso (🌽 in a 🍵). Ordering was easy due to the car service provided and the snacks came out rather quickly, very hot (except the Mango one) and fresh. Wife said the mangonada was perfect and she's found her raspa spot. Hot Cheetos came in the big bag and we're loaded with cheese. My elote was a small cup which was piping hot even after I got home. Good visit definitely be back to try something else.

I am so disappointed. My kids went and bought 7 fruit cups. I feel that El Recreo took advantage of the fact that they were kids because the fruit cups were stuffed with mostly cucumbers and then at the top just a couple pieces of watermelon, melon, and pineapple. It was almost all cucumber! Seven cups at over 7 dollars per cup. That was over 50 bucks. For mostly cucumber. And they tried to hide it with the chamoy. They should be ashamed of themselves. Pathetic people.

First time here. Went for the Monday special. Elote en vaso was really good and the agua de melon was refreshing. Definitely recommend stopping by for a quick snack. A lot to choose from.
