El Sabor Autentico De Xela, Guatemalan & bakery restaurant

My buddies & I went and each got something different - everything was delicious! But hands-down, my favorites so far are the Paches de papa (de pollo) and the Chuchitos. The staff was also wonderful - they were very attentive, despite being short-staffed for the day. Will definitely be coming back for more!

We have been meaning to try El Sabor for the last couple months and finally made it in and boy was it great! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with smiles by the staff who graciously helped us order since the menu is still currently only in Spanish and my wife and I clearly don’t speak it. I got the breakfast plate with carne asada and my wife got the chicken soup and both were excellent. Quick service, they stopped by our table twice to make sure everything came out great, and were very friendly and talkative when we went up to pay for our food and pastries. We’re excited to go back and try everything else on the menu.

I’m from Guatemala and I’m super delighted that there’s finally a great place nearby to get authentic Guatemalan bread and food. The place is small but very clean and well organized, and the food is tasty without being overpriced like at many other places. Highly recommend!

I definitely recommend trying this restaurant! They have parking right out front, good food and great customer service! They offer lots of traditional pastry options and of course delicious coffee. ¡Muy delicioso!

I went on a Sunday afternoon so I don't know if it's was the bread that was old but bread was bad. I also got a Shuco and what you see in the picture of meat is probably all it had 😒
