This find was fabulous! Must try location. We had the QuesaBirra and WOW one of the best I have had seriously, the guacamole was so good with the homemade chips. What a great find, don’t let that construction out Park Ave stop you from coming in- Happy Customer Yes I’m Coming Back and Recommending 😎
Probably one of the best old school tacerias in Tucson. Absolutely outstanding food no matter what you get. The Sopas are sublime. A pillow of masa crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside, covered with beans, lettuce tomatoes an queso with your choice of protein. Absolutely outstanding. I can't recommend this place enough. You need to go there. Note on my ratings: 1 stars, unacceptable. 2-3 stars, average quality, service and value, acceptable, but you could do better. 4 stars, above average quality, service and/or ambiance. 5 stars is reserved for exceptional quality, service and atmosphere.
In search of tacos, and a new place to try out we came to El Rustico 2. I loved the open space, high ceilings along with the welcoming staff. We had to take a few to review the menu - tacos/burritos or BBQ. We went with the former and ordered various tacos (birria, polla asada, carne asada and bistec) along with rice, beans and some chips/salsa. They have a nice little condiment/salsa bar to get the extras for the tacos. Our food came out nice, fresh and hot. All the tacos were tasty but the clear faves were birria and bistec. My husband who normally does not go full in for the rice did, and commented how much he liked it. The young man who was helping us was super friendly and brought over a bag of extra chips. I would totally return to try out their brisket/BBQ!
Excellent quesabirria chicharron tacos. Gordita was only ok. House made salsa and hibiscus and pineapple juices were delicious!
We stopped in for a late lunch and the place was pretty empty. Service was quick once we ordered. It took longer waiting for a menu (they only had 2 total), than it did to actually get our food. Staff is friendly and food was great. Tacos were full of flavor and quality was great in comparison to the oracle location. This was our first time at this location and we were not disappointed. Atmosphere is cozy with an open layout. It's nice to know we can visit either location and not have to worry about sacrificing quality.
