EL TAPATIO FAMILY MEXICAN RESTAURANT

Delicious food and friendly service! We came here because they were open late, most restaurants close their kitchen at 10pm which isn’t very convenient for folks who stay at Glenwood hot springs until their 9pm close time and have to shower after. Our hotel suggested Mc Donald’s because nothing is open late but luckily we found that El Tapatio closed at 11pm so that saved us. The service was fast and friendly. The portions were huge, plenty of protein! We enjoyed their cabbage salsa and chips too. The only complaint we have is the ceiling lights are offensively bright and could use a dimmer switch asap. Otherwise it was a great experience!

I visited Tapatio this weekend and ordered the seafood fajita skillet. The seafood itself was good and the overall taste wasn’t bad. The fajitas came out hot and were enjoyable. I also ordered a Cantarito drink, which unfortunately was not very pleasant. The flavor was off and didn’t really match what I was expecting, so that was a bit disappointing. The service really stood out—everyone was very friendly, attentive, and consistently checked in to make sure everything was okay. The atmosphere was great as well, with music at a comfortable level that didn’t overpower conversation. Went here on Christmas Eve and had an excellent experience. I was visiting Glenwood from out of town and the restaurant we originally planned to go to was closed. We picked El Tapatio next, and it was a great choice! Stellar service, giant portions and delicious flavors. The chips and salsa were tasty too. I’m sad I live far away and can’t visit more often!

The chips and salsa here we good start The queso dip was think and a bit salty but my companion liked it. Had the beef fajita's and was disappointed. Very little beef and it was dried out. Most of the plate consisted of the sides. Dried up Mexican rice. Good refired beans. Pico de Gallo and guacamole. Fired ice cream was good.

Friendly and attentive waiter My chicken burrito plate was really good. Great flavors! Pinto beans were very tasty The cabbage dipping sauce they give you with chips is very good too! Come check this place out 👍🏽
