El Tio Tex-Mex Grill

This is our go to Mexican restaurant in Gainesville. Definitely the best in town. This time around we ordered steak tacos and steak burrito and everything was excellent. Service is very quick. They promptly give you chips and salsa, and water. I wish they had arroz con pollo and the Virginia white sauce you can find at some Mexican restaurants.

Hands down our favorite Mexican of all time. The white queso w ground beef is the best. Love that the salsa isn’t exactly like every other restaurants. It’s chunkier and full of flavor….and I love it. My husband thinks they have the best steak fajitas. He always has complained at other restaurants that they don’t give enough meat to fill him and that the meat is usually tough and has too much grizzle. I use to have to beg him to go to Mexican because it’s my favorite. Now he suggests Mexican. The service is always amazing, restaurant is always clean and food very consistent.

First time visiting this place. I am impressed by the staff and the quality of the food. Portions are huge and mostly very delicious and fresh. Ceviche is one of kind, but to warn you it’s big so be careful ordering the second course. 😉!! Fajita was one of kind. This place is becoming my favorite Mexican!!! Keep up the good job guys!!!

This was my first time having lunch with my friend at El Tio Tex-Mex Grill in Gainesville, and wow—what an experience! We’ve been to plenty of Mexican places, but this one is exceptional: ✨ Cleanliness: 100% ✨ Food: 1,000% ✨ Service: 2,000% First and foremost—the salsa and chips. I can’t get over them! Every bite was heavenly, and that hint of cilantro (I think!) after each bite had me going, oh my goodness!!! I ordered the Pescado Cancun—grilled salmon topped with shrimp and scallops in the most incredible sauce. It was so good, I found myself scraping up the sauce with my leftover rice to take home so not a single drop of flavor would go to waste. 😂 The service was just as impressive.
