El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant

5 stars for the Chicken Soup, $12.00 +.96tax. I got chips and salsa. A water with 5 lemon slices. Chicken soup, 2 limes and almost half an avocado. Pretty solid. Its all white meat, Without the lime, avocado and throwing chips in its basic chicken soup with Pico and cilantro. Oh and they gave me a stack of nice napkins i think 4 extra I took home lol for real though they should invest in soup spoons.

The salsa was taken out of the refrigerator and served cold. I have never been to a restaurant where they serve the salsa cold and don’t even take the time to heat the salsa before serving it to a customer. The waiter was extremely rude. When I told him I didn’t like the chicken soup and would not pay for the soup he said, “Nobody else complained.” Then he said, “what are you trying to do, eat everything until you find something you like?” I had only taken two spoonfuls of this soup before I told him I didn’t like it. I assumed that he would suggest something else on the menu as an alternative to the soup but instead he just insulted me. He was extremely unprofessional, rude, and racist. He didn’t even offer me an alternative on the menu of something I might like. When I started to look

Food is OK, nothing special. Atmosphere is great. Prices are astronomically high and they add things to your bill so be careful. I’ve eaten here twice and had the same thing, but my bill was different each time. I would not come back for the food anyway, but you should be aware that this place likes to add little charges to your bill. I don’t recommend.

Went with family, place was super busy which is a good sign. We were seated immediately and our server came right to the table. We ordered steak fajitas for two. The food came out fairly quickly and it was hot and smelled great. It was a huge serving. There was an obscene amount of onions and not a much steak as I would've thought for two. The flavor was ok but the steak was over done. It was pretty dry and I needed extra hot spice and guacamole to eat it. We'll never go back but only because we aren't from around there.

Oh my!!! The food was AMAZING, and the margarita was the best I've had!!!! I ordered the carne asade, with an extra fried jalepeno.... they included an entire grilled green onion, and it was delish!!!! I highly recommend eating here! Hopefully you'll thank me!!
