El Vaquero West- Locust Grove

My family and I are thoroughly impressed with this place! Great service with friendly, considerate, and helpful staff, flavorful, high quality food made with high quality ingredients, and familiar music. Everything was delicious right down to the rice and beans. Truly a hidden gem!! (I took the picture after I had already started eating)

Placed an order online. Their online ordering process goes through door dash. I was told my order would take 15-20 minutes. When I arrived there was 1 table inside, however I was asked to wait it was not ready yet. All together 45 minutes for a 15-20 minute order. Once I got home I noticed the put the desert with the hot food. Ice cream was melted. The lid for the queso was not put on properly and spilt out in the bag. My husbands food was covered in grease and, so much grease you couldn't even identify the beans. The extra tortillas shells I ordered were missing, my meal was missing the the condiments that got with it, and we didnt get the guacamole. On top of everything being messed up the food tasted horrible. Watered down and no taste. When I called the restraunt I was instructed there

By golly, pardner, if you're hankerin' for a meal that'll stick to your ribs like a tumbleweed in a dust storm, you gotta git yourself down to El Vaquero West. Me, my missus, and our young'un, we spent the day cleanin' out them blasted gutters, and let me tell ya, our appetites were somethin' fierce. El Vaquero didn't disappoint. Them burritos, now they were a sight to behold! Big as a side o' beef, stuffed with fresh fixin's that tasted like they'd been growin' right there on the range. The flavors, they danced a lively jig on my tongue, a real hoedown of deliciousness. If you're a hungry hombre or damsel, this here place is the gold standard.

Food was good but was shocked when we opened and saw the very small portion and especially after spending almost $100. My wife and I eat at quite a few Mexican restaurants and this has been the worst when it comes to portions. Our parents usually have enough to share a plate but not this time. We will not be a frequent customers at this place.

I got the Mexican grill without vegetables. They accommodated my request and it was absolutely delicious!! I am stuffed!!
