Ellsworth Public Library

We were looking for a spot for our small committee of volunteers to meet to tackle a quick group project. Study Room #1 was perfect! The staff is always welcoming and the space was easy to reserve and perfect for our needs. We are so fortunate to have such a beautiful, flexible, and dynamic public space in our town.

I was informed that because I wasn't up my child's butt when we visit that means I'm not watching her, and was told to go to a different library. I have never felt so unwanted in my life. if community was really so important they wouldn't tell people to go to another town just to get some human interaction.

Every single member of the EPL staff consistently goes above and beyond to service the public. The programs & services they were able to put together and carry out during the pandemic were amazingly innovative, creative and engaging. This institution is a hidden gem of the community!

I have always loved this quaint little library, but the effort they have put into navigating covid this year has been Great! They run their reading programs through an app called Beanstack and it has made tracking my time spent reading really easy. Not to mention you can win prizes if you read the most!
