Empanada Guy Restaurant

Had our first taste of their empanadas. Met a regular inside who recommended every item on the menu. He was right. We loved all of the 5 empanadas we got! But if I have to pick favorites, i will say the lobster and crawfish, beef and the guava and cheese! Those were top notch. I wished they were bigger though!

We came to buy frozen empanadas to stock our fridge, and aside from the standard 4-packs, we also got the lobster ones! Absolutely perfect when we cooked them up at home, and also got to have the chicken stew over rice which was fantastic and such a cozy, perfectly delicious comfort meal. Genuinely one of the best spots in NJ.

Came in for a quick empanada like I always do after a getting a tattoo next door! Plus they hooked me up with amazing chicken stew! Thank you!

At an outdoor event in Wharton with friends. Pretty tasty. Plantains were correctly made and much better than a lot of Cuban restaurants I've been in.

We were at the Food Truck Festival in Passaic NJ and Empanada Guy was there. We recognize it on Beat Bobby Flay and it looked so good on TV so when we saw it at the festival we were so surprised. Now we had so much food already from the Festival so we only share one to get a taste. They had a whole list of empanadas on the menu but we decided to ordered their beef empanada. The ground beef filling was tender and juicy with rich and savory flavor. Don't get us started with the fresh Sofrito giving us that wonderful slightly sweet and tangy taste.
