Englund's Subs

My crew wanted subs for lunch today. I searched for a good local place and ended up at Englund’s. Excellent choice! First their sandwiches are huge! They slice their cheese and meat per order and the spices they add were superb. My wife and her family have crazy sensitive taste buds and they couldn’t stop talking about the great flavor. We had half a Cuban, whole tuna salad and half of an Italian. Ordered for 4 people and it would have easily fed 6 (teenage boys excluded from calculation)! Very small seating area inside. Vibrant takeout business. Friendly staff.

Skip the chains and give these local guys a chance. Can't find a better sub or nicer people. The Del Prado location has a charming atmosphere reminiscent of simpler times.

The best sub I have had in the 11 years I have lived in Florida. Fresh roll snd excellent meats. Made to order! I doubt a better sub can be found in SW Florida!

Englund’s Subs On Del Prado 5-31-24 My wife and I were hungry for an Italian Sub today. We wanted something that was fresh and tasty, so we want down to Englund’s Subs. We got the around noon and there was a little bit of a line to order but it moved fast. This place is not fancy with all the bells and whistles. It’s very basic with just a couple tables inside a chip rack, meat cooler, soda coolers and order counter. It was clean and tidy; we were able to sit at one of the tables. Once at the counter I ordered a what’s called a Whole Super Italian Sub that my wife and I would split. They have this sub in 7 inch which they call the ½ sub and 14 inch which they call the whole sub. Our whole sub was 14 inch of Ham, Capicola, Pepperoni, Salami, Provolone with Tomatoes, Lettuce, Oregano, Onion,

I lived in Florida most of my life and now I live in Tennessee so anytime I get back in Florida this is my first stop. These subs are the best in the world. Absolutely love the people and food. Im craving it now
