i had the signature favorite and it was hands down the best bagel i’ve ever had. i still think about those bagels to this day and can’t wait to go back to nyc to eat them again! also, the service was great, with all the staffs being very friendly. honestly i loved everything about this place. would definitely revisit for the signature favorite bagel and other menus i’d love to try <3
HORRIBLE 🤢. I ordered a bagel scooped and toasted, with cream cheese and cucumbers. My bagel came burnt, wasn’t scooped, and wasn’t SCHMEARed as usual. This is not a $10 bagel. At the Ess-a-bagel FiDi spot (last two photos) , the cream cheese is oozing out the bagel, staff are nice and greet you as you come in, and the bagels are so so fresh.
I like how big and classic the bagels are here. They have that dense, chewy New York style, and the portions are generous, especially with the spreads and sandwich fillings. Everything tastes fresh, and it’s definitely filling if you’re hungry. The only downside for me is the price. The quality is good, but it feels a tad overpriced for a bagel, even by NYC standards. Overall, still a solid spot and worth trying if you want a well-known New York bagel experience.
Was craving bagels that didn’t taste like soap. Tasty and generous amount of cream cheese, bagel was soft and deliciously fresh. I got the everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and ham. 👌 lil pricey but worth stopping by every time I’m in NYC.
The bagels aren't fresh and my everything bagels had almost no seeds. Avoid. Extremely disappointed. My bagels were tough, picked from one of 4 huge baskets stacked full of everything bagels -- most likely cooked the day before. They were rock hard the next day. We were so disappointed in these we walked a block away and had much fresher, softer, warm-of-the-oven bagels. These all were still quite food the next day. Ess-a-bagel used to always be my goto in NYC but they were hands down the worst we had of 4 places in Midtown.
