Evesham Public Works

I've dealt with numerous people from the township and always had a good experience. However the first time I go to use the Public Works Dump, it's closed at 11:45am on a Friday afternoon. No reason posted. I went to the website, to find out they're closed on Good Friday 3/29/24. This is a Public Facility, that is closed on Catholic/Christian Religious-Holiday. Not a national or public holiday. I feel this is a way for employees of the "Public" to get off for Easter, which as we know falls on a Sunday. I could even understand closing early, but to simply not have the offices or yard open on a Non Holiday, is ridiculous. I see that someone else thought they had an answer to this ridiculousness. Great hours & people there to help.

Kaitlyn who answered the phone is terribly rude. A simple question for clarity regarding what she’s telling me vs what’s on the website will get her extremely bothered. Perhaps she shouldn’t be working a job that requires interaction with people. Honestly, how hard is it to just be a nice person and do your job instead of being someone who sounds so annoyed by another?

The Marlton Recycling Center is manned by some of the most helpful and good people I have ever met. The facility is set up to make recycling and trash drop off as easy as possible.

Very confusing set up to enter the facility. Not at all clear where to go. Once I found the bin I needed to drop off cardboard, all the open bins were almost full. Since I had a lot of big cardboard pieces, I had to use a new bin, but I wasn't tall enough to open the lid. Had to struggle to get boxes in the bin with the lid continuously falling closed. Definitely needs more directional signage for newbees like me.
