Exit 87 BBQ & Catering

Okay, I love a great BBQ but not the avg or want to be BBQ! I read the reviews and was hesitant, but have been craving it for a hot minute. I must say that this was the BEST I have had EVER! the flavor is deep and rich, not smoke and shallow. The meats are moist (we got the chicken sandwich (with slaw) and the rib plate with potato salad and Mac n cheese. This stop is marked as a top stop so when I am here, we ARE STOPPING! Oh yeah, the ribs fell off, the potato salad, perfect blend of the ingredients, Mac and cheese...very good, and....stop reading and get there! Trust me when I say, STOP, ORDER, TAKE A BITE AND PAUSE TO ENJOY THE AMAZING FLAVORS FROM A PLACE THAT DOES IT RIGHT! Thank me later, right now, enjoy the food!

This gem is located off exit 87 on I40 across from the Loves…prime location. It has plenty of truck parking. Plus the entire interaction from ordering to getting my food was no more than 15min so you can be in and out. There is a lot on the menu. I ended up getting a brisket plate with an extra 1/2lb of brisket. The plate was about $17 and the extra brisket was another $14 or so. I wanted coleslaw for a side but I’m pretty picky about coleslaw so she let me try some and I got it for both sides. It was absolutely delicious. Somewhat similar to KFC coleslaw in taste. The brisket had a good smoky flavor and I added the spicy barbecue sauce which paired well with the sweet coleslaw. I will stop here every time I’m in the area…wonderful food and quick, friendly service!

Cold rainy day BUT everything was AWESOME here. I got the pulled pork plate with slaw and potatoe salad. It was a great price BIG portions and best of all the people working inside were helpful and friendly. I will DEFINITELY be back!!

Absolutely great pulled pork! Got the plate with 2 sides for $13.25. Baked beans and potato salad also delicious. Sauce really compliments the pork and the beans. Definitely worth the stop. Truck parking there and at Love's! Sorry I forgot the tip but I'm in the area every week now and will double down next time!!!

I’m not from this area, I drive truck so not too many areas that provide parking. Been here twice, food is excellent, patrons were coming in steady but service was fast, staff was friendly, atmosphere is great, by tomorrow I will probably stop again before I leave Dobbs Peterbilt is a sponsor so a shout out to those great folks also.
