Exposition Park - Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Regional Branch, Los Angeles Public Library

Eugene and staff were excellent hosts for the 150th Birthday program for Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune, in partnership with the National Council of Negro Women. My only concerns were safety and aesthetics. The parking lot was full of loitering and didn't feel safe for passage. The community room where the event was held was very cluttered with extra chairs and unsightly boxes. It looked like the room dubbed as a storage area. Not a great presentation to welcome the community. But the library itself was great, and I hope that the community utilizes it.

Tiny and obnoxiously loud library. All the tables were taken so there was nowhere to sit.

The outside was a bit crazy but inside was clean and the staff was very professional and helpful

Really small but really cozy. Great air conditioning, and very clean. I wish they would have a bit more books in a few of my favorite genres but overall good. Also the dvds and tv show season are good, but the ones i want to see are alwaya checked out! :( The librarian ladies are very nice. But the front desk guy isn't very friendly. Too serious and looks mad all the time. Besides that good library to go to.

It has friendly staff, is always clean and quiet and it has a good selection of books as well as downloadable ebooks. There is also a little play area for kids in the back corner and they offer quite a few things for school students (such as tutoring) and also do reading to young children. Go in for a schedule of times and days for all events. I recommend if you're in the area just stopping in and checking it out.
