Beth David is the consummate community journalist. She is passionate about telling the truth - or exposing it, when she smells a coverup. She does that, AND the Scout projects, Senior Center activities, parades, Halloween and Easter frolics with the kids. I don't know how. But I wish there were one of her in every city and town.

I am so pleased to be able to submit a review on a wonderful neighborhood news ran by an extraordinary lady. My husbands family had a home on West Island since 1954 and we have had our own home on West Island since 1993. When our children were little this newspaper helped me plan outings that were nearby, affordable, and fun. Years ago we had a small house during some re -shingling. As the firemen arrived, this really interested, avid news writer came around the back of our house to see how we were and find out what happened. She had her pencil and pad in hand, was already beginning to write the facts and had her baseball cap on backwards. She interviewed me, surveyed what happened and then checked on our 2 sons, Mike who was about 10 and Ben who was 15 and our 2 Golden Retrievers. She

A small and friendly neighborhood newspaper. Local events and local political news. Accepts advertising. A news magazine that is ubiquitous in our area. Check it on-line too.

I'm their award winning photographer. What's not to like about BD and this great little paper!
