Fall River Public Library

My boyfriend and I recently became members of a sci-fi/fantasy book club hosted by the Fall River Public Library, and oh boy, it's been an absolute delight! The library itself is an architectural gem that stands out in the town. It's adorned with gorgeous murals downstairs by the children’s section that seem to tell their own stories. The moment you walk in, it feels like you're entering a different realm, one that's calm, serene, and absolutely conducive for reading or studying. It's almost as if every corner is designed for peace, making it the perfect escape from the outside world. Joining the library has not just been about the book club, it's been about experiencing the tranquility and beauty it offers. Will definitely come back to do my grad school assignments here.

I love my city library! A few loud characters here & there but I don’t mind!!

One of the better libraries in the Providence metro area in my opinion. Like most of Fall River, the building is historical and pretty cool architecturally. The staff has always been helpful and friendly, even though I’m not a resident and just work in the city. Their hours are also great for a public library. My favorite part, though, is the little bookstore they have upstairs, you can get some good books for as low as 25 cents.

very good place to study. they have multiple study rooms, which is very convenient, as well as an elevator for easy access to all floors. i haven't gone to check out any books, however they do have a wide selection on any topic you could possibly be looking for, as well as a teen section full of manga if that's what you're into.

The library used to be a place you would feel safe at, now it has homeless and drug addicts in every corner of the library (at least the children’s room is safe) . Needle receptacles in the bathroom, so you know they’re getting high in there. Seems more like a homeless/drug agency now. Don’t send your kids in here alone. Every time I’m there staff has to tell at least one person to be quiet on their phone because they’re screaming obscenities. Go elsewhere, you can transfer books to other/better libraries that care about their patrons.
