Family Seafood Market

Visiting Charleston gotta have seafood. The oysters were out of season., but they have crabs. $25 for mixed and $35 for male only. They charge $10 fee per dozen for cooking the crabs. So its crab + handling fee, don't be surprised. Overall, their crabs are fresh, much cheaper (than Maryland) and we had a great experience! Note - they have seats indoor but they are a seafood market.

The fish is some of the best that I’ve had in this area; however, a tad bit over seasoned (the only reason for 4stars instead of 5). My son loves the crab and shrimp rice.

I was very excited to try this restaurant because I love seafood. But unfortunately, I found a piece of plastic in the crab fried rice that was cooked and melted into the food. Also, the shark tasted very off to me. The customer service was pretty good though, and so was the plain red rice.

What a difference! I used to go to Charlie Brown's Seafood all the time but always thought it was quite sketch! Family Seafood is so much more clean and inviting. They are friendly and easy to deal with to get what you want. And don't get me started on how DELICIOUS the fried crabs are!🦀🦀🦀 You gotta taste em and you gotta gimme those thumbs up if you agree! 👍👍👍

I came in on Friday to place an order for fried crabs (2). Everyone greeted me and was very pleasant. The place looks extremely nice inside compare to what it use to be when it was “Charlie Brown Seafood”. It was only me and one other customer. When I was told, “Give it a few minutes.” I expected 15 minutes at the most. I had just got off and was ready to go home. 50 minutes went by before I got my food. I wanted to cry. I was so tired. I live right around the corner so I got home and was like, “I wonder if it’s always like that. Sheeeesh.” When I took my crabs out I noticed they gave me two extra crabs. The crabs were so good. Seasoned and fried perfectly. I just know now to call before I come. I saw people come and go within 50 minutes because they called.
