Fat Bob's Smokehouse

I first heard about Fat Bob's a few years ago but it wasn't until I visited 42 North and had The Whole Farm Nachos (quite possibly the best nachos ever! ) that I visited the sit down, Buffalo location. I had the southern fried chicken (only on Sundays) hush puppies and collard greens, my wife had the ribs with Cole slaw and Mac salad. We also had the Texas Twinkie's (Cheese stuffed Jalapeños wrapped in bacon then cooked in the smoker) Every item was pure perfection and the best I've had in WNY! The service was excellent, the food TASTY and the rest rooms were clean. I have allready been there three or four times and plan on going back again soon!

Fat Bob’s Smokehouse is an absolute gem for anyone who loves authentic barbecue. From the moment you walk in, the warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel right at home. The aroma of slow-smoked meats fills the air, instantly sparking your appetite. The ribs are tender and flavorful, perfectly coated with their signature sauce that strikes the right balance of smoky and sweet.

I was disappointed that there was no dine in area as it was being remodeled. Goggle did not mention that fact. I placed a take out order that was ready in a few minutes. Pulled pork sandwich and hush puppies were delicious. I was given more than enough meat for the sandwich which I ate with a fork. I am just visiting the Buffalo area, but if I lived in Buffalo I would be a frequent customer.

A bunch of us came in for lunch on a Sunday pre-Bills game and tried whatever we could on the menu. The Mac and cheese side is more a penne-and-cheese but still solid. The catfish fingers and onion rings were great. Their fried chicken was amazing and is a must try. The brisket is also solid but the ribs definitely stole the show. As for sauces, all four are great but the Carolina was a favourite (think tangy vinegar base but a touch spicier and more flavourful) and the Memphis had a nice hint of spice with sweetness. The service was just as quick and super hospitable.

I highly recommend this barbeque joint. We walked in and had our food less than 15 minutes later. The barbeque sauce is unique and delicious 😋. The turkey is juicy and mouthwatering. The portions were excellent. I will be back
