Fat Mama's Tamales

We didn't want to go to a fast food place so stopped here. Greeted by the door by a young lady who then took our order and we had our food in minutes. Mine was the "gringo pie" or maybe plate? Wife had nachos. The gringo plate or pie was three tamales under chili with onions and jalapenos while the wife had some chili and nacho cheese along with jalapenos on her nachos. Finished mine off and liberated what was left of her nachos after she told me she was getting full. The place was empty on this Sunday evening except for one other table. There is a drive thru window, indoor seating, as well as a outdoor covered patio.

Oh. My. Gahhh. Do yourself a favor and get The Natchez Nachos Southwest, some cornbread, a lil cup of those fire and ice pickles and a few tamales… you may be full ‘til tomorrow, but you will have a great experience today! I’m not saying we ate all that… but… anyway, don’t miss out on their famous margaritas either (mango is my fave)! But like Mr Burton used to say on Reading Rainbow, don’t take my word for it… got get you some!!!

Stopped by for a quick lunch. The tamales are so good! Maybe the best I’ve ever had? Def the most meat. We got six tamales and the fire n ice pickles and it was perfect to split- if you have the willpower. I went with the recommended blended mango and strawberry marg and it was PERFECT on a hot day. We had to get a dessert and went with the caramel cheesecake since the key lime pie was out. Omg - so good.

Loved the vibe here and the hot tamales were delicious. I ended up getting the gringo pie and it was great! Quick service too! My picky child was able to get plain tacos so that was a plus!

I never liked tamales before this place! Their pickles are also incredible.
