Felipe's Jr. Mexican Restaurant

I have been going to the Felipe's restaurant for quite a few years. I have never had a chance to go to this one at this location, and I will say they carried on the same tradition as the original Felipe's, the food was very good. The proportions were extremely large, definitely for the money it was worth it. I had the Mexican combination one. My son had the combination burrito his girlfriend Got the fajita. And chicken Deluxe. tostada. And the combination 1 came with 1 Tostada, 1 chicken, enchilada and 1 beef, taco, refried beans and rice.

Family and I were on a trip to my mom's in northern Kansas. Decided witchita is where we would find something to eat. We saw a sign for a Diner, thought Kewl, variety whole family should be happy, turned in The lot, no Diner only a catering company, and a Mexican restaurant, I said Mexican it is. Got in the Restaurant, Hostess was awesome, Seated as soon as the family ran to the bathroom (remember trip). An older lady stopped got our drink order and asked if we like hot or mild salsa, I normally dont eat salsa, but I always try it, this was really good. Ordered queso, asked white or yellow, o man, white. Amazing!!!!!! I kept looking at the menu and watching food come out the kitchen, I couldn't decide, told my Waiter, first time in, looks amazing I can't decide what ya recommend

Always a good go to for a good Mexican restaurant. I always get the same thing and im never disappointed. I get the Jumbo Burrito beef with chile verde on top. Wife ended up getting flautas which we big good portion of chicken at a good price! Great atmosphere and service!

I would classify this as more of a Tex-Mex style restaurant but having said that, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors! The salsa is served mild and hot but the hot is more of a mild-medium. Ask for the spicy one made with jalapeños. It was fantastic and you will not be disappointed!! Hubby ordered the burritos and they are served with a very delightful queso sauce ontop. Beef and chicken - both were great. I had the sopes and although the chile verde was quite flavorful, the masa was super hard around the edges which were too hard to even cut with the steak knife (really!) Once I removed the outter ring the rest of the cake was fine and had great flavor. Our server was kind. There was no wait for a table which I did find unusual for a Friday night. My first time there. Owner greeted us at the door. Our waitress was one of the best I have had. The food was flavorful, hot and very good. When back in Wichita I will go again!
