Fern & Aurora has been on my bucket list for quite some time. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by all the variety of desserts they had to offer. I was told by the staff that the Ube Basque Cheesecake and their donuts were particularly popular. My boyfriend and I ended up getting one of the cheesecakes and donuts, as well as a matcha latte and a seasonal drink. The desserts were fabulous. The cheesecake was so delicious and the texture was so soft and delicate. The donut was also not too sweet which I appreciated. I also really love how they told me they don't add sweetners to their matcha, I could just tell that the staff really loved what they were creating and felt pride in the shop. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by. It's such a quaint and lovely plac

This is a small neighborhood bakery located right next the the railroad tracks. It has a small parking lot behind it. The prices are on the high side. The croissant was flaky and airy but not at $5. The Basque cheese cake was creamy but had an almond extract taste. It was quite heavy and stuck to the parchment paper. The calamansi tart was good but not tart enough for me. The sable crust was very sweet especially with the meringue. The tiramisu had just a hint of coffee and was a traditional tiramisu, used lady fingers. I loved the Bicho Bicho, sugar donut. It was light and airy and not too sweet. I don't think I would go back unless it's for the donut.

✨NYC Hidden Gem Alert✨ On my trip to New York City, I stumbled into the cutest little French-style bakery—Aurora and Fern—and I’m so glad I did. 💕 The walls are pink, the art is playful, and the whole vibe feels cozy and welcoming, like you’ve stepped into a storybook café. The pastries? Incredible. 🥐 The head chef is French-trained, and you can taste it—flaky croissants, delicate tarts, and treats that are as beautiful as they are delicious. I paired mine with a latte, and honestly, it was one of those small travel moments I’ll remember forever. What makes this place extra special is how family-friendly it is. They have a free little library, coloring books for kids, and plenty of space for families to relax. It’s rare to find a spot in NYC that feels this thoughtful and welcoming for

We passed by the lirr station and saw this bakery. It looks like a local normal bakery but it looks cute inside. Every pastry item look delicious and we want to try all. However, we are not so hungry. We tried the Ham + Gruyere Quiche, ube basque and crookie. The egg inside the quiche tastes delicious but the pastry crust is a bit salty. The crookie is a bit hard if it's not warm up. The ube basque is the best. We can taste the ube and it's creamy smooth. We also ordered the hot ube matcha. But the staff took a long time to serve it and it's cold. That's disappointing. We didn't ask her to remake one because we saw the staff was busy cleaning up the spill on the table😮. So don't bother. We will come next time, hopefully she can do better.

Stopped here for a quick coffee waiting for the train and what a delight! The ube cheesecake was delicious and rich and not overly sweet which was great. The cashier and baker were incredibly kind and sweet. Decor inside was super cute! Definitely worth a stop. Everything is made fresh every day!
