Fettuccine Marcello Italian Kitchen

This used to be a legit Italian lunch spot. Now it’s having a full-blown identity crisis. The menu is half classic Italian, half Mexican… but not fusion. Just fettuccine Alfredo hanging out next to street tacos like they met in the wrong group project. Quality took a hit too. The taco beef tasted bargain-bin and underseasoned, and the Italian dishes felt like they lost the nonna and hired a microwave. Nothing tasted fresh or dialed in. Even the menus look like they were printed five minutes before opening. The dining room was empty at lunch, which, after eating there, made perfect sense. I hope they find their lane again, because right now it feels like two average restaurants sharing one confused kitchen.

Popped in for dinner tonight with my husband, we’d really enjoyed their Italian food previously, but were befuddled when we opened the menu to see that it was now serving Mexican food - even though the name and online menu were the same. We love Mexican food but we’re trying to have Italian. It was weird.

I stumbled upon this area unexpectedly and decided to explore. This restaurant was open and it looked very elegant and clean. There was plenty of seating outside and I liked that the soup 🍲 of the day was cream of broccoli. I decided to enjoy a bow and it was delicious 😋. It was creamy but you could still savor chunks of broccoli. It hit the spot! For some reason, it took a long time for my order to arrive. The staff was professional and cordial. I wish there were more than 1 Italian red wine available. I enjoyed a nice glass of Californian Pinot Noir. I thought prices were average and the happy hour offers discounts. You can get a little view if the Pacific Coast I'd you sit outside facing West. I would definitely come back.

This place is hit or miss for us. Not always consistent but most of the time our meals are great. Service was slow our last visit and some of the meals/ bread did not taste fresh. Halibut was fantastic though.

Relaxing atmosphere, and amazing food, I enjoyed every bite! The bruschetta was addicting! And the drinks 🍹were the cherry on top
