Fireside Jamaican Restaurant

This was my favorite Jamaican restaurant but it’s like a funeral now. The food is ok and the females are evil. The females have dry attitudes and look miserable. The light complexion young lady is the nicest one. I love her, her personality shines so bright. I wish she child’s be there everyday. I prefer the Bouldercest location. The gentleman over there is so nice and so are the women. The food over there is perfect and fresh. I only eat on Covington when I’m not able to travel on the other side of town. It’s like they just gave up on the Covington location. .

We hadn't been here in a while. It's located in a storefront connected to a gas station on Covington Highway. When we entered, we were barely greeted by anyone. The server behind the counter was pretty robotic, just fulfilling our orders. I got a small curry chicken , and Wifey got a small stew chicken. The meals came with rice, peas, and cabbage. Unlike most Jamaican restaurants, they didn't have plantains. The cashier’s demeanor was just as dry as the server’s. One thing I did notice was that the dining area was very clean. We packed up our food and headed home. Everything looked good and fresh. The food itself tasted okay with pretty good seasoning.  They need to work on the customer service a little. 3.5 rating

HAIR AND PLASTIC IN MY FOOD. Literally just returned home to eat and this is what I find. Not to mention prices much higher than what I viewed online before coming to the store to order .

First off how can this store be Caribbean and serve pan seared food like the chicken was dry and there was no love in it. Like do you even stew the brown stew chicken at all!!?? The plain rice was the best part. I also ordered the ox tail and managed to get all the fatty bits like come on the seasoning taste just like browning. I tried to give this place a chance and i ordered a few different times but the food remains the same. It taste like it was rushed…. The food is already expensive please at least try to make it taste good. The stew chicken should be falling off the bone from sitting and cooking in the gravy all day melting in your mouth…disappointed cause I spent my money and it wasn’t worth it. Now I have to find another spot.

I just enjoyed a good delicious lunch here! The jerk chicken& rice was sooo good with the right hint of spice! The staff were SO FRIENDLY. They even let me sample a few things I’ve never tried before! This is now my go to restaurant when I’m wanting good authentic Jamaican food! Thanks for a great experience!!
