First Watch

This was my first time trying First Watch, and now I may just be a regular! They have 9 locations, so go try one near you if you haven't already. I had the Million Dollar Bacon and the Blueberry Lemon Cornbread. The bacon was exquisite! Perfectly cooked, still meaty, with just the right amount of seasoning, no heat to it either. I could have eaten 2 orders myself. The cornbread was definitely large enough to share, but I accepted the challenge and won! They give you an ample amount of butter on top that slowly melts into the cornbread and then melts in your mouth! Well worth a try. Even the coffee was really good! The manager, Tasha, and her crew were very friendly, helpful and courteous too. Nice to see so many smiling faces on a Monday lol!

The New Year started off with a delicious and nutritious breakfast. We enjoyed steel cut oatmeal and the Tri athlete omelette. Both were amazing and perfectly prepared. Our server Camille was friendly and made sure our experience was wonderful. This is consistently the best breakfast spot in Gilbert.

So so very good! Lovely bustling spot for breakfast. We were visiting friends in town and loved the eggs benedict and the chorizo omelette. Btw the kids chocolate chip pancakes are delicious and enormous.

Had lunch this week and first time visit. My wife surprised me and ordered the seasonal special cheese grits and shrimp. I had the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. Lots of hash browns with it. Salad was an option. We were about 3/4 finished before our waitress came by to ask how our meal was. Other than that I have no complaints on service. I had a side order of their million dollar bacon. 4 strips sweetened with brown sugar and flamed up with cayenne pepper was an interesting treat but expensive at close to $7. Overall we enjoyed our meal and will be back.

Mia was wonderful. Food came quickly, great service. Avocado toast no eggs, vegan, gluten-free toast, subbed potatoes. Yum. Just what I needed. Simple and ended up a little under $20. Spacious, open and welcoming plenty of parking. Folk always coming and going. Generally the earlier the better. Its always a popular place. Especially on weekends. Bon Apetit!
