Fish In the Village Market

Over rated. My order was incorrectly taken, fish was SO DRY and way OVERCOOKED, mashed potatoes are instant from a box and the baked potatoes are either microwaved or really old, the Persian rice was TERRIBLY SEASONED too. Owner or manager was super nice the FOOD WAS CRAP. Don’t be in the restaurant business dude

Finally! A place I can go to pick up HEALTHY food fast. Fish in the Village is an unassuming place from the outside nestled in the corner of a small shopping strip wedged in the corner next to a 7 Eleven and other small shops. The minute you step in the shop it feels nice and welcoming. Blue-skied murals are painted on the walls and a small stand of plants and a wind chime welcome you in the front door. I have visited several times now and Carmen, hard working and friendly has been there every time. A genuinely nice guy. Fish, grilled vegetables and a baked potato are my go to and they are all cooked to perfection. I also like to add a side of the grilled garlic - excellent. The fish tacos are excellent as well. Hands Down the best fish place in Los Angeles. They fry the whole fish which is amazing and their fish tacos are out of this world! My mom always gets the grilled fish and absolutely loves it!

I was craving fish and chips and googled to see where the closest place was to my hair appt that serves fish and chips. Tried this place out and it didn’t disappoint. The fish was delicious and flaky. Not greasy at all and the batter was good. Fries were good as well. The restaurant was empty since it was after lunch. It was a little pricey for two fish and chips order but I guess everything has gone up in price anyway. I’d come back to this place again and try something else.
