Came here because of all the raving reviews on the fish and chips. Honestly it was soggy greasy and disgusting. The fish didn’t flake at all and had big hard black pieces in it and when I cut it open liquid came out. It was truly awful and I’m just praying I don’t end up sick. Waiter did take off 6.00 from my bill but I was left hungry and grossed out! I wouldn’t recommend! Waiter never refilled my drink either so just a disappointing experience for 35.00.. I’m from out of town so I’m bummed as I really wanted some good fish and chips 😔
My husband and I came here for dinner tonight. We ordered poutine, fish tacos with chips and salsa, and root beer, a Cubano meal. We both enjoyed our dinner. My only complaint is that the chips seemed stale. Otherwise it was good.
Went for dinner here around 7pm and I was beyond disappointed. It was not busy and the waiter took twenty mins in between each visit to the table. When it comes to the food it was meh… The poutine wasn’t bad, the pretzels were just pretzels… the salad had some of the weirdest dressing… overall it was pretty disappointing sadly. I won’t be back.
Fitger’s Brewhouse was absolutely fantastic. We ordered the poutine and it was perfect in every way — crispy fries, perfectly melty cheese, and rich, homemade roast and gravy that tied it all together beautifully. Every bite was comfort food done right. Oh and the root beer! So good! The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere felt cozy and warm — the kind of place you want to linger. We’ll definitely be back!
The wild rice burger is a perfectly unique dish for such an iconic building. I highly recommend allowing some time to explore the rest of the complex before/after your meal.
