I found Flava on Tiktok before visiting St. Louis from New York. The owner is amazing with excellent customer service && had me laughing the entire time. Now the food??? It’s definitely out of this world. The absolutely best smoked wings & rib tips i’ve ever had. The polish link was delicious too. I’ll be back tomorrow to grab some on my way to New York. Best bbq soul food ever!!!!!
Loved the oxtail plate. Oxtails soo tender and flavorful. Mac and cheese and baked beans were so delicious as well. Customer service exceptional. Would definitely be back and recommend to anyone looking for great food
I went today because I was craving some BBQ. The owner was super nice. I got rib tips, cabbage, potato salad, polish sausage, and macaroni. The rib tips had a good smoked flavor but needed a little more seasoning. The cabbage was to die for. I wish I had ordered more. It was a good experience overall. I'll definitely go back.
I first heard about Flava on Facebook. They had the oxtail that looked really good. Wanted to give them a try. I was greeted with smiles. They were patient with me being my first visit. Baby, they sold out, lol. I ordered the short ribs with green beans and baked beans 🥴Seasoned..SEASONED. The char on the tips was RIGHT and tender. The baked beans were seasoned as well..not just a scoop of Bush's lolbs. The green beans?? Well you see the rest. Although they had a little kick to it. They were good and affordable. I paid under $20.00 Ok.. I ordered the oxtail..nice and meaty. I got the string beans again. But this time they added too much salt. It was already seasoned with smoked turkey. The mac and cheese??? Nah...no season, no cheese. Just the look.
I liked the potato salad and bake beans. . .who ever made them did their damn thang! I wasn’t a fan of the rib tips but I did eat some of them and saved the rest for the kiddos! OMG. . .lets talk about the toast! It was just right! It wasn’t to soft/to hard! Nicely toasted and flavored & I promise them after our little misunderstanding I will be back and I’m a woman of my word. I’m not much of a google review person to know how this thing works! Hope I didn’t butcher it as we both are waiting to see how this turns out!
