Float Beach

Awesome stretch of sand, accessible by most of Cape Canaveral's E-W president streets (although there is no Van Buren St or Ave, not sure what Martin did to piss off the original Cape Canaveral city planners), which all have beach access AND free parking. Because it is between Cheri Down Beach Park to the N and the Cocoa Beach Pier to the S, there are no amenities, but other than a few locals, you will have the place to yourself.

Wonderful beach. Beautiful at sunrise and even at sunset. Great for swimming, sunning, surfing, shelling and surf fishing. Fun to watch dolphins and the Cruise Ship's come and go from Port Canaveral, and a great place to catch a launch as well. We enjoy walking the beach to the Cocoa Beach Pier.

My Go-To Beach Spot This is a good, clean, safe beach that I’ve been coming to for years. If you're hoping to hunt for seashells, you're out of luck—this isn't the place for that. What you will find daily are the metal detector enthusiasts, diligently sweeping the sand. On the bright side, it is a fantastic spot to watch spaceships lift off!

Wide and clean beach, good access areas, nice dunes too.

Absolutely wonderful beach tucked away in a beautiful little spot. There's a nice little walkway straight on to the beach. Where you are met with beautiful waves as you watch shrimp boats and cruise boats head off into the sea.
