Floodcraft Taproom

So my GF and I came into this place from out of town before a 49er game two weeks ago. We'd been planning our trip for weeks and we're ready to spend $100-200 at this place on food and drinks. The FIRST beer I ordered was a 16oz IPA (as opposed to a standard 12oz). The lady (mid 30s) then handed me a standard 12oz beer glass mostly full of beer. I've been drinking beer for years so I know what a standard 12oz glass looks like. See pic. I told her it was a 12 oz but she argued saying it was a 16oz. I let it go, and we just paid for 1 drink and went somewhere else. Pretty disappointed that your bartenders are overcharging customers. You could've made a lot more money that day if not for a dishonest bartender. 🤔

Love this place. Informal setting. Brian and Eric are awesome bartenders. Good selection of beers. 4-6pm happy hour if you can make it then after work( holidays work for me). You can grab food from the salad bar or hot food item or get their excellent taproom eats at the bar Update 10/2021: The taproom is open again. Nice place to visit when you come to buy groceries. I like the sours now!

The Whole Foods taproom is a great place to try new beers. That have 20 rotating taps and feature both local and imported beers. If you can't find anything you like on tap, you can also purchase single cans or a 6pack from Whole Foods and they will open it for you and give you a glass for no fee! In addition, you can order small bites off their taproom menu. The burgers are delicious, but the pulled pork nachos are my favorite. Again, you can purchase food from the grocery side (like chips and fresh salsa!) and bring it over to the taproom to hangout or watch sports. Staff is always friendly and happy to make recommendations. It is usually easy to find a few seats. Sometimes you need to flag them down to clear the table, but they are quick about it. They have happy hour Monday-Friday. So

Update as of Sept. 2025: (tldr: come for the beer, don't come late, be prepared to wait, and don't expect food) So things have changed a bit... still a very good taplist that changes often, and a wide variety of beer styles from an equally wide selection of breweries. Staffing in the taproom seems more consistent than before but they still occasionally close early "because of staffing issues", and there's times no one will be behind the bar because they're "on break". But they seem to have 'fixed' the kitchen staffing problem by shutting down the kitchen entirely. No more food at the bar, except for pizza from the pizza oven on the other side of the store. I like this taproom at the Whole foods market because it's close to my office and offers a wide selection of beers on tap at a reasonable price especially with the pitchers. You can order food at the bar, or just buy some from the market and bring it over to eat.
