I’ve been hearing about this place for a while and somehow never went. I finally checked it out with my boyfriend, and honestly—it was the best idea. The food was amazing. I ordered the lomo saltado with fried plantains, which is one of their most popular dishes, and it did not disappoint. I’m usually skeptical when it comes to ordering steak, but this one was actually really good. I was pleasantly surprised. I included my boyfriend’s dinner as well and he highly enjoyed it. I took a picture of the plate empty so yall can see that he bust it down LOL I had a virgin piña colada (I would’ve gotten a drinky drink lol), but I’m doing no alcohol for the month of January. It wasn’t bad but I want a drink next time I comeback lol. Everything was a 5/5 for me. If you’ve never been, stop waiting a

I’ve walked past Flor de Mayo so many times and finally went in — and now I’m low-key mad I waited this long. This place is one of those neighborhood gems. The menu is huge (like, “why are there so many good options” huge) with that perfect mix of Chinese-Peruvian classics. The rotisserie chicken? Elite. Super juicy, seasoned all the way through, with that crispy skin that makes you pause mid-conversation. The fried rice portions are massive , easily shareable, and packed with flavor, not greasy, just right. Everything came out fast, hot. The vibe is very no-frills, family-style energy. Not trendy, not trying to impress you — just consistently good food and a busy dining room full of regulars who already know what’s up. That’s how you know it’s real. Prices are solid for the amount of

This spot has become a bit of my go to when in doubt. The menu is so vast and it’s hard to try everything so I will keep going back to try a bit of everything whenever I can. I love the Chinese Peruvian fusion and the flavors can really work well together if you get either side of the menu. It’s creative and gives you lots of options yet the food still maintains great quality. The atmosphere is nice as well the spot just overall gives great vibes.

The food was so flavorful and delicious. I’ve been here a few times and always forget how big their portions are, it surprises me each time in a good way. I had the Lomo Saltado (beef) with sweet plantains and oh my, I was blown away by the quantity of beef in my dish (so many pieces) — perfect for a meat lover like me. This dish had lemon juice or some sort of citrus flavor that keeps making me take another bite. The fries and onions go so well with the beef (which was so soft, tender and juicy). You can choose type of rice or plantains (sweet or crispy) to go with your meal. Plantains or yellow rice are both great options (highly recommend). I tried the other dishes that my party ordered and each was yummy, such different flavors. Click on the pictures for more detailed descriptions. I

Its a cute spot... The Verde arroz con Pollo was amazing... Service could have been better as it took the waiters a long time to ask if my date and I were ready to order. Food came out at a decent time and they brought me flan for my birthday. One of my favorite Peruvian spots in the city.
