This was my first visit, and it absolutely blew me away. The salsa alone was worth the trip—easily some of the best I’ve had in Austin. It instantly reminded me of my mom’s homemade salsa: roasted serrano peppers, fresh garlic, stewed tomatoes, and just the right touch of salt. Bold, warm, and deeply comforting. We kicked things off with the beef queso, and it did not disappoint. When the salsa is that good, you know the queso is going to follow—and this one delivered. It came out warm and velvety, loaded with seasoned beef and topped with a generous scoop of creamy guacamole. Pure indulgence. Great Mexican restaurant that has been in Dripping for years. Great service and food. Been coming here for 15 years.

The food was so good! The drinks were okay, and the service was subpar. Although our waiter gave me some awesome suggestions for choosing my dinner, we didn't even get chips and salsa or our drink order taken until 10 mins after we walked in. That would have been somewhat okay if they were busy, but they weren't. Our food selection was the Caliente Pollo with double rice and a beef chalupa (both pictured). The chalupa was massive! My husband got Carne Roja en Guajillo. He said it was so good.

I am convinced that the people who eat here only come because its convenient or have zero tastebuds. I ordered chicken fajitas and they had to have been the most dry bland chicken i have had in a long time. The peppers were hard and crunchy the tortillas very underwelming. The rice looks like rice a roni and i didnt even want to try anything else. I cant believe this place is busy all the time.
