Discovering Flo Coffee was like realizing your high-school crush had been sitting behind you all year — and they just handed you their number. I drive past this spot every day after my workouts at Gold’s, always catching little glimpses of people outside but never stopping. Today, I finally pulled over… and wow, I’m glad I did. Flo is owned by Gabe, a 20-year coffee veteran who finally decided to open his own shop — and it shows. The place is small, cozy, and full of character. I tried the signature iced “Nico” (espresso with maple cream and cocoa powder), and it was fantastic — bold, smooth, and subtly sweet. For now, I’m giving it 4 stars only because I need to come back and try more of the menu… but I already know this will be an easy 5-star favorite. 📅 Open Tuesday through Saturday

Best of the best coffee in Venice beach - maybe even all of LA or California. The coffee quality is top and the barista is really fan of coffee culture and his job. He doesn't just make amazing signature coffees (a must-try!) but also share great local restaurant tips. If you love good coffee, this is a must-visit spot.

Fantastic locally owned neighborhood coffee bar. The quality of the coffee is unmatched. Everything is made in house, in small batches, and the effort really shows. Also the owner is lovely and super knowledgeable! If you’re in the area, it’s absolutely worth checking out.

Was super excited to try this place and was a bit disappointed. Waited twenty minutes in line which I was more than happy to do but then was welcomed by the grumpy owner. Seemed annoyed that people were waiting in line to try his coffee. After ordering the nico ($9.50 iced coffee) and MP matcha, I tried taking a few steps back to get out of the way, and the owner told me to stay right there and wait for my coffee. Like whaaaat. He also got mad at a girl for trying to move a 700 pound boulder. I’d like to say the coffee and matcha was mid, but it wasn’t even that. Lastly, it was the owners birthday, and he had a sign with his Venmo QR code asking for bday donations. Felt tacky to do as it was the owner himself. Gave it two stars because those boulders were cool.
