Casual, quick and delicious Chinese comfort food! We tried the bao and dim sum. Flavorful, but would go from good to great with the addition of fresh flavors from garlic, ginger. Super friendly atmosphere, coloring area good for families, prices great for all! Will definitely return!
This is a tough one. I first want to acknowledge that they do have some authentic Sichuan flavor, especially with the MaLa peppercorn. However, the food is simply not good, especially at the current prices. I had high hopes coming in, this place had all the signs of potentially a great hole-in-the-wall, authentic spot---including the lack of cleanliness other reviewers mention. But, when it comes to the food, which is ultimately what I care about, it was simply not good. The XLB were average, similar to Trader Joe's. The shrimp haogao were huge in size, but small in flavor. The beef noodle soup and tokotsu ramen were far below average. The ramen pales in comparison to a ramen place (e.g. Jinya), same with the beef noodle soup. They both used the same lackluster noodles. Their broths wer
Dan Dan noodles 5/5 Pork sui mai dim sum 4/5 Shrimp ha cao dumpling dim sum 5/5 Steam soup buns 4/5 Egg custard bun 3/5 Egg rolls 4/5 Overall everything we got had great flavor and spices. Took points off soup dumplings since they weren’t as soupy and egg custard needed more filling. But Dan Dan noodles were very good and majority of the dim sum we ordered was tasty too. Everything tasted fresh and very authentic! Love the condiments at the table. Service was good. Cute neighborhood location. Will definitely come back!
Hidden gem! We loved our experience here. The food here is so yummy! The soup and dumplings where authentic. And the spicy popcorn chicken was surprisingly good. The pot stickers we had two were beef and the other two where veggie. Both amazing. Try all the sauces they make them taste savory or sweet.
As you come into the shop you’ll be at peace by its interior design. The food served is in fact very authentic and almost everything is made fresh; the staff makes the dumplings on the morning :) This place is hidden gem of Salt Lake City. Currently the menu is small and the owner has plans to make it bigger! Regardless of the quantity ~ you will walk out with quality and authentic Chinese food.
